We Voted: Now It’ll Be Up To The Democrats

Shouldn’t be asking, wild and scheming
Could be my election day.

Well, that was certainly an election day. It seems to have gone better than I expected in many ways, though not as well as I could have hoped.

So voting; much change.

I spent most of the evening explaining things to my kids, which was fun actually.

And thanks to the AP for putting a regularly-updating display of the Senate results on YouTube; we put that on the living room TV rather than have talking heads blathering about nothings as they waited for new results. According to YouTube, there were only around 3k viewers on the simple status display stream, so it wasn’t a widely-used option but I really appreciated it.

At this point, we can only hope that this result is strong enough to convince the Congressional Democrats to actually do something useful.
