You got to know when to hold ’em;
Know when to fold ’em;
Know when to walk away,
And know when to run
.

It’s not just because so many of the professionals in both politics and used cars are total slimeballs.

Although that is certainly true.

It’s also because you absolutely cannot get anything you want in either case unless you’re willing to walk away from the negotiations.

You need to be able to decide for yourself:

  • what is the best deal I will push for?
  • what is the worst deal I will accept?

And you need to be able to stick with that, and not be afraid to just walk away.

If the salesperson (or politician) you’re negotiating with knows that you won’t walk away, you’re gonna get fleeced.

Which is what the Democratic Party has been doing to the Left in the United States for decades.

On the whole, the Left hasn’t been willing to walk away because that would result in pretty much what we’re seeing today; which is, in a short-sighted kinda way, laudable.

And when the stakes are relatively low, it’s justifiable: the lesser evil is, after all, less evil.

But when the stakes get existential, as they are these days, the lesser evil is no longer less evil enough.

So, the time has really come to walk away.

It’s time to walk away from negotiating with the Democrats; any politician who supports this government in any way:

  • Congressional representatives
  • Senators
  • Governor
  • freakin’ dog catcher

If they have supported this government at all, then they do not deserve your vote.

No matter who their opponent in the election is.

The only morally acceptable position now needs to be total opposition.

Walk away.
