Where you gonna run to
Downpressor man
I don’t know where you gonna run to
All along that day
The House of Representatives voted to continue providing funding to the FBI on the same day the FBI refused to cooperate with Minnesota officials investigating the video-documented murder of Renee Good by ICE Agent Jonathan Ross; most of the Democrats in the House voted for the funding.
Including my own representative.
Which is a damn shame, because on the whole Jared Huffman has been as decent a representative as there are these days.
Not great, arguably not even good from my admittedly-extreme position, but decent.
But voting to fund this coup’s continuing attacks on everything about this country that made it worth having is not decent.
And he’s done too much of that.
In a little over a week from today, we will have had a full year of the current regime.
That’s a full year of examples of the kind of things Trump, damn his name and his cronies will do with any money that Congress gives them.
There is no excuse for voting to fund the current government.
A vote to fund this government is a vote in favor of the things it will do with that money.
Any vote for any funding to the current regime is not less evil enough.
