Today In Tabs is the odd and idiosyncratic blog of Rusty Foster, and if it has any single theme it’s probably a critique of modern journalism.
And it’s good at that.
But it’s also full of his personal ruminations on living on a small island off the East Coast, hiking, kayaking and parenting.
And it’s good at that too.
So today I’m recommending Rusty’s post from yesterday titled “What Would You Do?“.
It’s probably best summarized as he does in the essay as:
how I spent the early weeks of June, while ICE used Los Angeles to test its plan of putting American cities under military occupation and abducting their most vulnerable residents to be shipped off to concentration camps run by acquiescent authoritarians abroad
Which is accurate, in a purely technical sense, but doesn’t really describe it.
It’s also about furniture casters.
And how you should get a set of them now.
You should read it.
